The Colombière is situated in Moissieu-sur-Dolon, Rhone-Alpes, a geographic location which offers easy access to the region and its towns.

It lies 50 minutes from the city of Lyons, which has plenty to offer visitors. This city’s wealth was generated successively by the silk trade and the development of industry. With approximately 475,000 inhabitants, Lyons is the third municipality in France and boasts an outstanding historical, architectural, cultural and gastronomic heritage. 

Also, visit the towns of Valence (50 minutes) and Vienne-en-Isère (30 minutes)

Not to miss in Rhone-Alpes

Less than 50 kilometers from Moissieu-sur-Dolon, discover the medieval village of Saint-Antoine l’Abbaye. At the gateway to the Drôme, midway between Grenoble and Valence, the village is listed as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France. It is considered to be one of the jewels of the heritage of Rhone-Alpes and has been a center for pilgrimage over the centuries. Discover its majestic Gothic abbey, its covered passageways and medieval streets.

Continue your day along the roads of the Vercors and visit the Bourne Gorges. After Villard de Lans, the road is enclosed by magnificent cliffs. At “la Goule Noire”, take a break and admire the impressive resurgence of waters from the Autrans and Méaudre Plateau. After several kilometers, you will see the Cascade du Bournillon on the opposite bank, the waters of which tumble down from a height of 300 meters.

More athletic visitors will be able to visit the Laquais Racing Track less than 30 kilometers from La Colombière and treat themselves to a driving course, or discover the horse riding centre in Moissieu sur-Dolon, and the golf courses around the region.

Wine lovers will be able to titillate their taste buds with visits to the region’s wineries and enjoy Tain l’Hermitage, Ampuis or Condrieu wines.
